Oslo, Copenhagen & Stockholm

What a busy day! We got acquainted with Stockholm at the City Hall, which is a meter taller than the one we saw in Copenhagen, with three crowns - the national emblem of Sweden. Did you know the winner of the Nobel prize gets over a million $ and a gold medal? Afterwards we draw around some of the city's 14 islands - some of them surrounded with the fresh water from the Lake Mälaren and others with the salt water from the Baltic - and the waters meet, right at the Gamla Stan, the old town. Nice cobbled alleyways, some busier than others, eventually ended in Stortorget, where we quickly surveyed the Nobel Museum, just in time to catch the Changing of Guards after. Time to explore Stockholm on our own - there is so many things to do! Some have seen the Royal Palace and the Crown Jewels, others explored Gamla Stan, yet others went into the modern part of the city with its 18 meters wide boulevards and expensive looking department stores. Before we were unable to do another stop, we dropped by an Ice Bar, made from... Ice! As were the glasses, and hopefully no one smuggled one to the hotel and packed it in the suitcase as a souvenir! After freezing (at least some of us) in 23 degrees Fahrenheit it was time to return to the hotel, and stuff ourselves at the diner buffet - we had the whole hotel restaurant just for ourselves.
