Today we were in the city of canals, Venice. What a day! Firstly we took a water taxi across to Murano to a glass blowing factory, where we received a demonstration of how both sculptures and vases were made. Our very own Faith got a chance to help a master make a glass fish. Then we went for a guided tour of Doges' Palace and prison, with our delightful local Venetian Eleonora. We had a quick hour to grab pizza, pasta and gelato, before an iconic Gondola ride. The gang were given a Treasure Hunt to accomplish, which included getting photo's in specific spots, eating ice cream and answering historical questions. Our grand winners were Kendall, Brianna, Isobel, Faith and Sarah. Good effort ladies!! Back on the water taxi, we all enjoyed Jack's staring competition skills. Another three course meal and then much needed rest before the next leg of the journey to Switzerland tomorrow.
