Spanish Highlights

Hola! Today we boarded our bus to do one of the longest rides of the tour and crossed by several autonomous regions of the country enjoying the beauty of the Spanish countryside. We passed by the autonomous regions of Comunidad Valenciana, Murcia, hit a bit of La Mancha and then finally reached the region of Andalusia, in the very south of Spain, where we will spend the next few days. When arriving to Granada (one of the 8 capital cities of Andalusia) we enjoyed the views of Sierra Nevada mountains, where the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula is located: The Aneto. During our long bus ride today we discovered how different is the vegetation is in each region. Once we reached Andalusia we started to see a bunch of olive trees and we learned about olive oil production and the different variety of olives. We also had some fun listening to Spanish music on board. It was very hot in Granada when we arrived so we decided to stay in the hotel and have some rest before our dinner to then go to an amazing flamenco show in one of the caves of the Sacromonte neigboorhood, in one of the hills of Granada. We also did a night tour of the Albahicin area from where we had a chance to take some pics of the spectacular views of the Alhambra that you can find in the San Nicolas view point. Tomorrow more the Alhambra and Granada city is waiting for us. Buenas noches!
