Today we departed Venice in the morning and traveled to the beautiful town of Verona. Upon arrival, they were greeted by the impressive Roman Arena, a stunning historical landmark. After a short walk to Piazza delle Erbe, the students enjoyed some free time to go to an Italian restaurant with most opting for classic pizza or pasta. The students also had some free time to explore. Some visited Juliet’s Balcony, while others wandered through the bustling main square, browsing the outdoor market stalls, sitting in the sun, and simply people-watching in the lively atmosphere. The weather was perfect—bright sunshine and comfortable temperatures—making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It was wonderful to see everyone relaxed and happy, soaking up the Italian charm. Then we headed north into Switzerland, crossing the famous Gotthard Tunnel—a remarkable feat of engineering. We ended the day with dinner at our hotel, resting up for tomorrow’s visit to Mount Pilatus and the city of Lucerne.
