Day 7: June 22, 2025
The trip is coming to an end, but we still have things to see.
Today, Jose, our local guide, showed us Girona, the second largest city in Catalonia, located just a few kilometers from France and the Pyrenees.
Girona is a medieval city and has become famous because many scenes from the Game of Thrones series were filmed in its streets. There, we climbed the steps of the Cathedral, crossed an iron bridge built by Eiffel, and ate some of the most delicious ice cream in the world.
Next, we took the bus to Figueres, Salvador Dalí's birthplace and home to the Dalí Museum. The unique feature of this museum is that Dalí built it to house his own work. It's a museum where art, avant-garde, illusions, and surrealism blend seamlessly.
On the way back to Barcelona, we stopped for a few minutes by the beach to enjot of a lovely view of the Mediterranean Sea and take a group photo.
then we continued to the restaurant, as today we had paella for dinner to round off the trip in the best possible way!
