Morning! Today, the group divided in two: Ohio went out on a day trip in the West Country and Alabama and South Carolina stayed in London for a day of sightseeing and exploration. Ohio did not get a lie in this morning and left the hotel with a London guide called Mark. First stop was Stonehenge and we got told about the history (and mystery!) of those famous stones before the site closed early to make space for all the new age hordes who would celebrate the summer solstice tomorrow morning at sunrise! Then our valiant and quite unusual driver , Michael ,drove us further west to Bath. The scenery was bucolic and we loved the town (still feels like a Jane Austen novel). We also visited the Roman baths there. Meanwhile in London, the other 2 groups navigated through the underground and visited the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey. We all met up in east London in the evening for a curry night in Brick Lane. We also went for a walk in this cool and funky neighbourhood before commuting back to our west london hotel... awesome day!!
