Day 5: June 27, 2025
Tour Diary – June 23rd, 2025
A Day of Parisian Elegance and Sparkle
We began our day with a pleasant breakfast at the hotel, fueling up for another exciting Parisian adventure!
This morning was dedicated to discovering some of the city’s most iconic sights during a panoramic sightseeing tour. Driving through elegant neighborhoods and along majestic avenues, we admired landmarks such as the Opéra Garnier, the Arc de Triomphe, the world-famous Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower, the church of La Madeleine, and many more. The students loved seeing the grandeur and symmetry of Haussmannian Paris — and snapping lots of photos, of course!
Later in the morning, we joined the West Kingston school group for a fascinating guided visit to the Fragonard Perfume Museum, located in a stunning historical building near the Opéra. Students learned about the art of perfume-making — from rare essences to perfume pyramids — and even got to test their noses with different scents.
Afterwards, the group enjoyed some well-deserved free time along the Champs-Élysées, where many indulged in an ice cream or a refreshing fruit sorbet while taking in the lively Parisian atmosphere.
In the evening, we headed to the picturesque Montparnasse district, once a hub for artists and writers, for a typical Breton dinner of crêpes and savory galettes — a delicious and authentic experience that was a hit with everyone!
But the evening didn’t stop there: we boarded a famous river cruise along the Seine, drifting past illuminated monuments and historic bridges. The magic peaked as we witnessed the Eiffel Tower light up, twinkling against the night sky — a moment of true Parisian enchantment that left the students wide-eyed and smiling.
We returned to the hotel afterward, full of great memories and a little sparkle still in our eyes.
Warm wishes,
