Day 8: June 30, 2025
Tour Diary – June 30th, 2025
Relaxation, Exploration, and Gaudí Wonders
After several full days of adventure, this morning was all about rest and recharge. Students enjoyed a slow start to the day — a well-deserved break to recover some energy before another round of discoveries in vibrant Barcelona.
By mid-morning, we met at the Monumento a Colón (Columbus Monument), our central rendezvous point. From there, students were given the freedom to explore independently, depending on their interests.
Some chose to revisit favorite spots like Mercado de la Boqueria, with its colorful stalls and fresh juices. Others headed toward Las Ramblas, back to the Gothic Quarter, or even to the beach, where they could dip their toes in the Mediterranean. There were also students who ventured to Montjuïc Castle, or enjoyed peaceful time at Parc de la Ciutadella.
In the afternoon, we regrouped for a panoramic coach tour of Barcelona. Starting from Montjuïc Hill, we enjoyed sweeping views over the city and the port. We then followed Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona’s elegant boulevard lined with Gaudí’s famous buildings, and ended at the majestic Sagrada Família, where students were fascinated to see the progress on the ever-evolving basilica.
To close out the day, we shared a delicious paella dinner together in the city center — a perfect taste of Spanish tradition and a celebratory moment for all we’ve experienced so far.
Back at the hotel, everyone rested up for our final travel ahead.
Warmly,
