Tour Diary – June 29th, 2025
From Paris to Barcelona – A Smooth Journey South
Today was a true travel day, and what a journey it was!
We started bright and early at 6:00 AM, catching our shuttle transfer from the hotel to the train station for a long but smooth ride across the French and Spanish countryside.
After more than seven hours on the train, the group arrived safely in Barcelona, where the Mediterranean sun and vibrant atmosphere greeted us right away.
We headed straight to La Rambla, the city’s iconic promenade lined with trees, flower stalls, and cafés. The students had some free time to explore the lively area and soak up the spirit of the Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter) — winding alleys, medieval buildings, and quirky little shops gave them a taste of Barcelona’s historic heart.
In the evening, we regrouped for a delicious tapas dinner, sampling a variety of local dishes that the students were eager to try. It was a relaxing and flavorful way to end our first day in Spain.
We then made our way to the hotel, where everyone checked in and settled down to get a good night’s rest before our upcoming adventures in Barcelona!
