Day 6: June 28, 2025
Tour Diary – June 28th, 2025
Art, Culture, and Montmartre Magic
Our final full day in Paris began with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, featuring freshly baked pastries, fruit, and plenty of French butter — the perfect fuel for a day of art and exploration.
In the morning, we enjoyed some free time in the historic Marais district, one of Paris’s most charming and vibrant neighborhoods. Some students chose to visit the Picasso Museum, others explored the Musée Carnavalet (dedicated to the history of Paris), while others browsed through vintage shops and cozy cafés. A few even made their way to the Centre Pompidou, famous for its modern art collections and its inside-out architecture!
In the afternoon, we reunited for a much-awaited visit to the Louvre Museum. Though the annual Pride Parade made traffic and movement a little more festive than usual, we carefully navigated the area — catching glimpses of the colorful atmosphere — and reached the museum with no trouble. Inside, students were excited to revisit some of the highlights they had hunted down earlier in the week, including the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and Liberty Leading the People.
Later, we headed north to the iconic neighborhood of Montmartre, climbing the famous steps (yes, every single one!) to reach the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. From up there, the views over Paris were simply breathtaking. We wandered through the cobbled streets, passed by Place du Tertre with its artists and portrait sketchers, and soaked up the bohemian spirit of the area.
To celebrate our last evening, we ended with a relaxing movie night in Montmartre — a cozy and light-hearted way to wrap up an intense and fulfilling day. Afterward, we returned to the hotel for a final night's sleep before tomorrow’s early departure.
We’re all a little tired — but full of unforgettable memories.
Warm wishes,
