Day 11: March 31, 2024
Today we bid farewell to Venice and made our way to Florence, our first stop being Piazzale Michelangelo! What a splendid terrace offering a marvelous view of the city of Florence, and the warmest welcome awaited us! We strolled across the iconic Ponte Vecchio and gathered at Piazza del Duomo, where we parted ways for lunch. In the afternoon, we had free time, so everyone pursued their interests: some explored the Boboli Gardens, others wandered through the streets of the city center, while some went on the hunt for souvenirs and gifts. Pizza was on the menu for dinner! And afterward, our tour leader treated us to gelato at one of Florence's oldest gelaterias! We returned to the hotel, exhausted but incredibly content after such a fulfilling day!
