Today is Pasquetta, little Easter, which for italians means gettinf together with some friends and eat out. Streets are more crowded than usual but it is a unique celebration, a very local experience. We spent the Morning walking around Alberobello and its Trulli, fairylike houses built centuries ago and only visibile in this region. This is a UNESCO site and people come from all over the world. We then drove to Polignano a mare, a very scenic white town built on a cliff overlooking the adriatic Sea where Domenico Modugno wrote the hit Volare back in the 50s. In the afternoon We had a reservation to see the most interesting underground grottoes in Italy, located in the town of Castellana. Amazing stalagmites and stalactites found by chance by an italian speleologist in the early 1900s. Dinner in hotel and time to say Arrivederci Puglia...
