Today is the last day of touring the Far North. We are meeting for an 8.15 am departure to the Croc farm. The expectations are high. The ¾ hr drive along the Ocean Road is superb. Heavy rain when we leave but soon the sun comes out. At the Croc Farm we have a tied program. A Farm tour to get an overview of what they do at Hartley’s besides the tourist attractions. Then a ride with a boat on a lagoon where crocs are watching us. We get a close up look as they jump out and try to get the chicken the ranger tangles from a string. Then we go to join a Croc show where again we will see some big fellows racing out of the water to catch some food. There is free time to visit the other Australian animals at the Park, pat a Kangaroo perhaps?! Another photo with a Koala maybe? Meeting some endangered endemic animals, souvenir shopping, or just has an ice cream watching over the Lagoon where at any moment a “Salty” could swim past. Back at the hotel it’s time to do some more shopping or pre-pack the bags or jump in the pool. Tonight, we have dinner at the Hotel Restaurant again. Western style. Chicken, mash, greens and dessert. Because of a 4.30 am departure we will sleep early. Sweet dreams everyone see you in the morning. Cheers Claudine
