Mrs. Lario's Australia & New Zealand

March 22, 2019  -  April 3, 2019

Today we headed to the west of Sydney. We got up close and personal with Australia's animals. We savoured scrumptious Aussie pies for lunch at a local bakery before exploring the World Heritage Blue Mountains National Park. This included riding the Southern Hemisphere's steepest inclined railway into the Jamison Valley; taking a walk through the temperate rainforest, enjoying panoramic views from the Scenic Cabelway; and gliding between the cliff tops 270 metres high on Scenic World's Skyway. Our amazing leaders also brought along many local Aussie wonders to taste including Tim Tams, Violet Crumble, Snakes Alive and ANZAC cookies...We also became honorary Aussies as we learnt how to barrack very well for Australia! Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi!! A spectacular way to end the last night in Sydney was the Badu Gilli - water light projection illuminating the Opera House's sail which celebrates the rich history and contemporary vibrancy of Australia's First Nations culture.
