Day 6: June 16, 2024
Another beautiful day starts and we are going to discover the fairytale castle
of King Ludwig II, Schloss Neuschwanstein in the Bavarian mountains. We first visited the Alpsee lake and went up to Schloss Hohenschwangau where the King spend many years of his childhood.
Amazing views and a charming garden surprised us.
A nice walk through the forest and we arrived at THE fairytale castle which inspired Walt Disney so much that he rebuilt it in Disneyland. An amazing experience!
Our next destination was Oberammergau, a typical Bavarian village, well known for its Passion Plays. We enjoyed Kaffee und Kuchen, the typical German coffee and cake tradition before heading back to Munich.
