On day 2 of the trip everything really got going. The day began with an orientation tour of the lower town seeing some beautiful sights. Then we explored just beneath the Dufferin terrace with a guided tour of the Forts et Chateaux Saint Louis. Afterwards we had a brief walking tour of the upper town before having some free time to explore and buy some souvenirs. We then had the opportunity to tour the traditional land of the Huron Wendat peoples, where we were able to learn about their culture and practices. Next, we visited the sugar shack at Lac Beauport where we were able to try some traditional Quebecois foods and learn about their practices. We then had a campfire with s’mores and some of the group went on an evening walk and learned about a moose named Fred. We ended the day with a reenactment of the battle of the plains of Abraham with a beautiful sunset view!
