Day 3: April 11, 2025
Today was an incredible day exploring Switzerland! We started off with a walking tour of Lucerne, where we saw the Lion Monument, old town centre with its painted houses and picturesque squares, then crossed the river to see the Jesuit church and walk across the famous Chapel Bridge. After that we had some free time for lunch before heading back to our coach to drive to Mount Pilatus. This was definitely the highlight of the day - we took small gondolas halfway up the mountain and then took the "Dragon Ride" right up to the peak where we had an amazing view of the snow-capped Swiss Alps! We were even lucky enough to spot an ibex on the rocks. We went down the mountain the same route and drove back to the hotel for dinner and to pack our suitcases ready for the drive to Italy tomorrow.
