Québec City: Four Day Spring Tour

May 3, 2017  -  May 7, 2017

What a day on the Beaupre Coast, otherwise known as Rural Quebec! Despite the fact that it rained throughout most of the day, it did nothing to stop us from having a blast and enjoying all of the sites! Our day started off at the Chez Marie Bread Oven where we enjoyed some "delicieux" Maple Butter as well as bacon, eggs and toast! Afterwards, we drove onto the St. Anne Basilica, which was absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous for all of the students to see. We made a quick stop at the Atelier Pare Woodcarver, listened to some funny legends before returning near the Basilica for lunch. In the afternoon, we made two stops: first at the Copper Museum, then at the Montmorency Falls where we got to take the Gondola up to the top and walk across the bridge! All of the students made some fine copper art pieces at the Museum as well. Finally, we ended our day at the Lac Beauport Sugar Shack. As you can imagine, we all enjoyed a family-style dinner with eggs, home fries, sausages, beans, pea soup, crepes and of course, maple syrup! Its safe to say that we all consumed enough sugar today to last us a while! Off to see some more sites and museums tomorrow !
