Day 5: June 6, 2025
After a good breakfast, we hit the road toward Costa Rica’s laid-back South Caribbean coast. The drive itself was a treat, lush greenery and that unmistakable tropical vibe that makes you want to ditch your shoes and embrace pura vida.
Our main highlight today was visiting a Bri Bri indigenous village. This wasn’t just another tour stop; it was a window into a culture deeply connected to nature and tradition. We got to see how they make chocolate by hand, no fancy machines, just pure cacao magic, and learned about the medicinal plants they use for everything from colds to stomachaches. Their stories about living in harmony with the land hit home in a way no lecture could.
We checked into our hotel, ready to soak in the Caribbean atmosphere, and wrapped up the day with dinner at a local restaurant. The food was authentic, the conversations lively, and the day, just unforgettable.
