We had an excellent and very enjoyable day today. After breakfast in our hotel we started our guided tour of the city by visiting Gaudi’s masterpiece: the unfinished temple called La Sagrada Familia, it was just breathtaking! Our very nice guide Conchita gave us several details of its construction and we took several pictures of it from the different sides. Then we moved on to the hill of Montjuic from where we could enjoy great views of the whole city and saw some of the 1992 Olympic sites, like the stadium, the Olympic needle, the complex of swimming pools, among other facilities. After that, we drove around the city seeing other parts of it. We went to the Gothic district after that, and saw the old 12th century cathedral and walked along the narrow streets of such a nice part of the city. We finished our tour at the city’s main square, Catalonia. After that, we had free time for lunch, and we also spent the rest of the afternoon exploring more the city at our own pace and shopping, as well as enjoying the great atmosphere in the city center. In the evening we got together again and went to the Maremagnung, a shopping mall by the monument of Columbus, where we had our dinner, after which we returned to the hotel.
