During a sound-and-light diorama at Musee du Fort, students experience the famous sieges that led to the battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759.

Visit the Plains of Abraham where your tour director will discuss the events that took place on September 13, 1759. The students, divided into two teams representing the troops of Generals Wolfe and Montcalm, re-enact the famous battle.

Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre is an insight into understanding the importance of religion on the history of Québec. See the sight where thousands of pilgrims journey to pay homage to Ste-Anne every year.

Did you know that Montmorency Falls are actually 30 meters higher than the famous Niagara Falls? Located just outside of Vieux-Québec, these falls originate from the Montmorency River where the water cascades over the cliffs and into the St. Lawrence River below. Staircases and a suspension bridge over the falls allow you to get an up-close look at this amazing natural wonder.

Maple taffy rolled out onto sow, melting on your tongue. Ham roasted beneath a sweet glaze of hardened syrup. Beans baked in sauce of maple syrup and mustard, traditional French-Canadian Tourtiere drizzled in maple syrup. Sound good? Head out to a working maple syrup farm and learn all about the process of concocting the sweet stuff from tapping the tree to pouring the syrup on your pancakes. Stay for dinner, a traditional Quebecois feast in which each course features – what else? – Maple syrup as a main ingredient. Be entertained by traditional Quebecois music and maybe learn to play the spoons!

    Explore exhibits and participate in activities that bring you closer to the epic stories that define Canada's colourful past.

    The tour takes students through the Citadelle, telling the story of its construction as it relates to history and the garrison's place as a military site in Québec City. The various stops introduce the buildings, bastions and strongholds and their functions in fortification and the city against the American attacks during the War of 1812.
    Details: Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum visit
    Students visit Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum and discover the mysterious atmosphere of a copper mine. See the copper bearing rocks and then admire the fine artifacts collected around the world. Later, students participate in a hands-on demonstration on the art of Repoussé.

    Enjoy a delicious meal inspired by the local cuisine.
