Perched high atop Mont Royal, the giant green dome of Saint Joseph’s Oratory makes for an impressive sight. Climb the long flight of white stairs up to the great stone basilica for a chance to enter the place where Pope John Paul II deemed authentic miracles to have taken place.

This famous bagel shop in Montréal was first opened in 1957 by Myer Lewkowicz, who brought his now famous bagel recipe over from Eastern Europe. Sit inside this famous 50 year old bakery and sink your teeth into one of the deliciously doughy bagels loaded with cream cheese.

Overlooking the city of Montréal, Mont Royal boasts breathtaking views from the highest point in the city. Considered to be the oldest protected area in Québec, this large urban park was designed by celebrated landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. Inspired by “the poetic charms of natural scenery,” the park would be his only creation in Canada. Students can experience the public sculptures, paintings and installations, explore Smith House, the Chalet and the Beaver Lake Pavilion, and see a cross originally erected in 1643 to give thanks to God for saving the colony from a flood.
