Can be individual or group oriented. Links are provided for further information or support.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Learn the province<br \/>\n<\/strong>Research the background of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saskatchewan.ca\/government\/visual-identity-and-protocol\/emblems-and-flags\">Saskatchewan flag<\/a> and form a committee to consider whether the current flag should be kept or changed. Keep in mind that a flag is designed to reflect history and inclusivity of your province.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the recommendation is to change the flag, what changes would you recommend, and why?<\/li>\n<li>Is there a theme you see among provincial flags?<\/li>\n<li>Which language does the word Saskatchewan come from? (Hint: it rhymes with bee)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Study some history<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dive deep into the history of the name \u201cSaskatchewan\u201d and some sites you\u2019ll visit on tour. Pick two or three locations or main events in the history of the province and explain why they are important. Pick a location you\u2019ll visit on your trip and compare your artwork to photos of the location when you return. Consider painting a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tourismsaskatchewan.com\/listings\/505\/murals-of-moose-jaw#:~:text=Moose%20Jaw%20is%20the%20mural,of%20the%20city's%20early%20years.\">mural of Moose Jaw<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/wascana.ca\/things-to-see-and-do\/attractions\/the-saskatchewan-legislative-building-and-grounds\">Saskatchewan Legislature,<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.evrazplace.com\/facilities\/mosaic-stadium\">Mosaic Stadium<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pick a film<br \/>\n<\/strong>Watch a movie or TV show that was filmed in (or relates to) Saskatchewan. Of the languages you identified, which one would you find most interesting to learn? Why?
