    Explore the statues and learn about the monuments in Parliament Hill's open-air gallery by joining an orienteering rally.

    Located on Parliament Hill, the Centre Block is one of the most important examples of Gothic Revival style anywhere in the world, characterized by stone carvings and imposing gargoyles. See the great House of Commons, the Senate, walk through the amazing arches of the Hall of Honour, and see the famous Peace Tower, which is immortalized on the Canadian $50 bill.

Located in the magnificent Peace Tower, see epic battle scenes illustrated in stained glass, read the names of soldiers who lost their lives during WWI, and see the great Book of Remembrance.

    Attend a candlelight ceremony to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge at the National War Memorial. Governor General David Johnston will be on hand to honour soldiers who fought the World War I, a key part in Canadian history.
    Details: Ghosts and the Gallows (Haunted Walk & Jail Tour)
    Throughout the city, your tour guide recounts Ottawa’s supernatural encounters and students learn why Ottawa was once considered the most dangerous town in North America. Afterwards, tour the Old Carleton County Jail, built in 1862, and learn about early prison life, as you see the jail cells, death row and the last working gallows in Canada. Students learn about classic tales of strange occurrences and ghostly visitations.
