Currently, Explorica is looking for a Sales Executive to join our International team! The role of an SE is to sell educational tours to teachers over the phone. The SE is responsible for nurturing and retaining relationships with teachers to foster repeat business and ensure customer satisfaction from start to finish. Success is measured by delivering competitive sales numbers and requisite call times.
What does it take to be a great Sales Executive?
• Strong communication and presentation skills; negotiation and influencing skills; ability to build rapport/relationships over the phone
• Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate, but also be an effective and committed team player
• Ability to multi-task projects and responsibilities and strong prioritization skills
• Excellent writing, speaking and organizational skills
• Great computer skills and the ability to learn new software products a must
• Ability and motivation to make 50-60+ contacts daily (minimum of 2 hours call time per day)
• Desire and ability to travel to attend Explorica Tours for product development, conventions and trade shows
• 1-2 years of inside sales experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Director of Marketing
Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the planning and overseeing of all multi-channel marketing initiatives to meet company sales targets, increase awareness and equity for the Explorica brand, and retain business and enhance growth and profitability through traditional and more innovative marketing concepts. The Director manages multiple marketing objectives, projects and department work flow to ensure productivity.
Management Responsibilities:
Marketing
- Demonstrates thought leadership, skills and abilities in the area of marketing and business development. Participates in the overall strategic planning, development and success of the marketing department. Takes all necessary and approved actions to achieve both short and long-term goals and objectives of Marketing.
- Provides comprehensive understanding, planning, and executional excellence in direct marketing, both in print and online.
- Provides strategic direction to drive online lead acquisition through a mix of PPC, SEO & email marketing. Additionally outlines an online strategy to enhance the brand and effectively build awareness through social media outreach.
- Ensures that new products, promotions, pricing changes, and creative updates are launched via the website and social media tools.
- Assists in integrating online and offline communications ensuring consistency of communication plans designed to achieve larger organizational objectives. Able to effectively manage a remote telemarketing department, including development of planning and training programs to deliver high-quality sales leads.
- Collaborates with IT to ensure the user experience provides consistency, simplicity and value while supporting corporate guidelines and corporate objectives to drive sales and retention as well as market awareness.
- Manages marketing employees with regards to performance, training and development, mentoring and productivity. On-boards all marketing employees providing product training and hands on development of all processes and procedures. Participates in the performance evaluation process for direct report employees. Manages employee PTO usage as needed.
- Selects and manages external agencies, vendors, contractors and marketing professionals utilized for Explorica marketing initiatives.
- Continually monitors lead acquisition, quality, campaign performance & ROI.
- Develops and manages relevant annual marketing budget and is responsible for financial information for marketing.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business development, marketing or sales. Masters preferred.
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years in a strategic marketing capacity and/or Sales experience. (solid understanding of the student travel industry, group travel, and/or education industry preferred)
- Solid experience working with marketing concepts.
- Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to work with all levels of employees (domestically and abroad).
- Strong people person and manager who is able to get the best out of their team members.
- Understands business side of marketing and is financially resourceful.
- Inherent sense of accountability for getting results.
- Utilizes creative solutions by thinking out of box. (How can we do things better? Do we need to do these things? How do we need to evolve our marketing strategy?)
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new software products a must.
- Ability to travel to attend workshops, trade shows & training opportunities.
- Ability to multi-task projects and responsibilities as well as strong prioritization skills.
