Announcing Educational Travel Week: Sept. 13-17

At Explorica, we truly believe that travel is an educational experience for all—and that everyone should get the chance to explore new destinations, cultures and ideas. That’s why we’re celebrating Educational Travel Week this September 13-17.

Sponsored by Explorica and endorsed by the Student Youth & Travel Association (SYTA), Educational Travel Week not only promotes educational travel tours, but also celebrates the learning experiences inherent in all forms of travel—and for travelers of any age.

So we invite you to share Educational Travel Week not only with your students and fellow educators, but with everyone you know who loves to travel and learn.

Educational Travel Week Activities

Although the week officially kicks off Monday, September 13, you can submit entries to our video and photo contests right now. Show us in a short video something you learned while abroad for a chance to win two free tickets to Europe, or post a photo of the craziest culturally immersive dish you ate during a travel adventure for the opportunity to win a $500 American Express gift card.

Then, make sure to come back next week to participate in fun, culturally-specific Facebook quizzes about some of your favorite travel destinations, join a ‘live chat’ session with a ‘travel luminary’ to talk about how to enhance the educational aspects of travel, and more.
