The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is a self-governed, not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to promote a fair and ethical market place where consumers can be confident about their travel purchases. As a member of TICO, Explorica has agreed to abide by its ethical codes for business and Explorica travellers are protected by TICO’s Compensation Fund which provides reimbursement of monies paid in the unlikely event of Explorica’s bankruptcy or insolvency.

The World Youth Student & Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation was founded in 2006 with the merger of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC). The Confederation's mission is "to increase international understanding through the promotion of travel and educational opportunities for students and youth". Members of the Confederation work through specialist sector associations to provide a range of valuable services and products for young travellers around the globe including Student Identity Cards, Language Travel Experiences, Work Exchange and Au Pair Experiences, Student Flights, Youth Accommodation and Travel Insurance.
The British Educational Travel Association (BETA) is the umbrella body representing producers and suppliers of youth, student and educational travel related products. BETA has raised awareness of this important, yet previously under-represented sector and created an environment that encourages enhanced trading between organisations and better access to government departments, and other public sector bodies.
